In 2008 after my divorce I settled into a small upstairs apartment and needed to downsize, so I got rid of all my weight lifting equipment and decided to take up yoga as an alternative home workout routine. I was not very flexible in mind or body!!! I started with a Baptiste DVD and soon found myself at a retreat at Mt. Madonna Center surrounded by yogis and yoginis. At Mt. Madonna I was introduced to traditional Ashtanga Yoga, including the practice of Pranajama. I continued to mainly practice alone. As I began to devour podcasts and articles on yoga philosophy, especially by Ram Dass I came across Tanja Diamond an International best selling author, Tantra teacher and life coach. I was drawn to her message and began working with her for several years, which became a healing process for me. I continued practicing Yoga on my own and worked with Tanja on sound, breath and movement. In 2015 I moved to the East Bay and continuing down my path of self discovery I found Worlds Yoga where I discovered a welcoming yoga community. I completed my Yoga 200hr TT class in 2017. I feel like we all have work to do on ourselves during this life and my work isn’t done, but I’m ready to support those that want to heal mind, body and soul. I seek to create a welcoming, compassionate and passionate space for all souls to embrace life through yoga.
