Shannon’s classes are greatly influenced by a variety of traditions and practices. So many amazing teachers, including her five children and husband of 25 years, have helped her in creating an ever expanding yoga style and practice. Shannon integrates body sensing, breath centered movement, meditation and restorative poses into her classes as well as music and humor. Her deep connection to her Native American heritage adds another dimension to her teaching style. This acknowledgement of our interdependence, interconnectedness and compassion for all beings including self is the core of her personal practice. One of Shannon’s passions is working with children and teens through yoga and self-compassion work. In addition to teaching yoga, Shannon has spent nearly 20 years studying and researching holistic healing and nutrition. She also completed Smart Soul Academy where she learned the necessary tools to following the Internal Guidance System.
