Becky Roskop
Becky, a former dancer, choreographer and high school mathematics teacher, began “doing” yoga in college, as a way to maintain her flexibility. Later, she began to learn that there was much more to yoga than just flexibility. Her mind, body and spirit were equally challenged. Thus began her journey into a deeper practice. Becky was very busy in college, working on her degrees in mathematics and psychology, but she made yoga a part of her schedule. When she moved to Denver in 2004, she began to look for a studio in which to practice and wanted to deepen her knowledge of the asanas and the philosophical teachings. Corepower has been Becky’s “yoga home” for more than six years now. She recently completed her Master’s Degree in Vedic Science and is pursuing a PhD in Asian & Comparative Studies with emphases in Yoga Philosophy and Sanskrit. Becky loves sharing her passion for yoga and that is one reason that she loves teaching so much. Yoga is is complex and simple at the same time. The truth is not fathomed all at one time because it is a journey; a journey that is thousands of years old and will go on for thousands of years into the future.
